Emily Patterson is the author of three chapbooks: So Much Tending Remains (Kelsay Books, 2022), To Bend and Braid (Kelsay Books, 2023), and haiku at 5:38 a.m. (Bottlecap Press, 2024). Her debut full-length collection, The Birth of Undoing, will be published by Sheila-Na-Gig Editions in 2025. Emily’s work has been nominated for multiple Pushcart Prizes and Best Spiritual Literature and appears or is forthcoming in SWWIM, North American Review, Christian Century, Rust & Moth, The Penn Review, Stirring, Cordella Magazine, ONE ART, Literary Mama, Tyger Tyger Magazine, and elsewhere. Emily received her B.A. in English from Ohio Wesleyan University and her M.A. in Education from Ohio State University. She works as a curriculum designer and editor and lives with her family in Columbus, Ohio.
